If you apply for a sentence reduction hearing can your sentence be increased?

No. Once the sentence has been imposed, it cannot be increased on a motion for reduction of sentence.

No, it cannot be increased. However, if you are seeking to reduce your sentence, that is not something you should undertake on your own. You should have an experienced criminal lawyer handle the hearing who will be able to make the appropriate arguments and reference the applicable laws.
