Sentence w/held defrd or susp

My friend was found guilty today on some really serious charges and under the sentencing inforamtion of the Clerk of courts website it says: SENTENCE W/HELD DEFRD OR SUSP I was wondering what this meant.

Essentially, it means the person can--depending on the charges--have it sealed or expunged; can lawfully deny it on a job application that says something like, "Have you ever been convicted?"; can still possess a firearm; can still vote; and can still do the other things a convicted felon can't do.

If she has not been sentenced yet it means they have postponed sentencing for some reason. It could also mean what my collegue says, that she recieved a withhold of adjudication. I would need more information to give you a good answer.
