sentences imposed on florida drug offenders polk county fla
i have been arrested for drug parha.,posseission of meth, and driving on suspended liscense 3rd time habitual, i face 10 years, i go to be sentenced 1-25-2004. this i my very first drug offense. i haved had traffic tickets and 1 arrest for charges i cannot name. . what justice was there for us. ....none. the bottom line is i hired a lawyer...ie...3500.00....i have been since then put in jail 3 x....he has not advised me of what i face, what the procicuting attorney has. nor has he asked me to drug test,lie detector...or jack sqaut about what i think really happened or occurred. 2 years probation,drug court,counseling and no addujudicaton, my very 1st offense. my friend calvin, has an arrest for felony dristribution and got 3 years. what the hell is going on on polk county florida. i wonder if lakeland,bartow and polk county areas have a larger number of arrests, ilegal searches and tickets. check it out for yourselves....please advise should i get a second opinion. i don't belive my lawyer has done his job.....do you....let me know.... donna
