what is the sentencing for a minor having an ounce of marijuana in Florida?

The minor would be charged with Possession of Cannabis more than 20 Grams, a felony. In all likelihood, the minor would be charged in juvenile court. The sentence could be anything from pretrial diversion, a judicial warning, probation, or even a commitment program (juvenile prison). In most situations the juvenile could be subject to the juvenile court's jurisdiction up until the age of 19.
