Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I was served with a notice to appear charged with petit theft in violation of section 812.814(3)(a) state statute in the state of florida that statue doesn't exist and basically they charged me to a crime that doesn't exsit what should i do

Are you sure it's not marked 812.014(3)(a) which is the petit theft statute? If it doesn't that doesn't necessarly mean it should be dismissed but you are entitled to proper notice. You should talk to an attorney to see what is the proper motion to file in light of all the circumstances.
