Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I was served a subpoena to testify against my ex for a crime he committed that I have no 1st hand knowledge of just hear say. (his comments to me after the crime) The subpoena was for November 12 & the court date has been changed to Dec 13. Do I still have to appear since I have not received a new subpoena for the new date? I did receive a letter in the mail stating the new date.

A subpoena or even a summons is a court order to show up in court. If you don't show you could be held in contempt. You might want to call the state attorney that issued the "letter" and see if you can be excused from appearing.
