Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
can a sex offender be romed from the sex offender registery and have thier record exspunge. my husband was 18 when he was convicted of a sex crime. now he has to register in florida as a sex offender. he has consensual sex w/ a 14 yr old who lied abt he age and said she was 16. now my husband's life is ruin. i would love to find away to appeal his chrg or have him appeal the sex offender part. please help or give me some guidance to start the process.

There is a reasonably new law called the "Romeo-Julliette" law. If the offender was within 4 years of age to the partner, and the sex was consensual, he can apply to be removed from the sex offender list. I do not believe he can get his crime expunged or sealed, however.
