shoplifting in fl. walmart.misdameanor. i did notleave store premises. i thought you had to physically be outside of store

You don't have to leave the premises entirely, you just have to pass all points of sale (usually meaning go beyond the cash registers).

Actually you don't even have to go past the registers. You could still be charged if you conceal the item in your clothes or purse for example.
