Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Shoplifting

observed a women shoplifting in my shop (has a history in several stores in our area, has written from the shop owners not to tresspass, one caught her on video, called her to bring merchandise back, brought another shops merchandise the first time, then the right merchandise.) I did not know my rights to hold the customer till police arrived. Officer called her back to shop returned some 20+ min later. Of course denied stealing anything. Now has a Trespass warning, to beat it she is a neighbor and also ownes a SECURITY Company!!! Any further legal action I can take, really want her off the streets so to speak.

Re: Shoplifting

You could sue her for the theft. But its probably not worth it to you and it wont get her off the streets.
