shoplifting 1 time

I was caught shoplifting at JcPenny worth $76 even, they make me wait in the room as question took picture of the items and my self i sign a paper stating that i try to take this items, the police came set up a court date and i sign a paper saying im not allow there for a year. so. i was with my cousin i didnt knew they stole anything at that time too but they didnt get them so i wanted to go home but they wanted to go to bells i stay ok since i wanted this off my mind i called a friend and talk to her in bells, when i saw my cousin leaving the store they were caught and stole themselves i didnt take anything the cop was very rude and called us idiots and stupid and made me sign a paper staying i wasnt allow there too by the way i didnt take anything from there and i didnt know they took stuff that they other stores too, i need help i dont want this on my record and its my first time.

If I am reading your information correctly, you are being charged with a petit theft/shoplifting charge. One incident has nothing to do with the other. I would recommend contacting a criminal defense attorney in your area for assistance if you are serious in keeping this charge from being a conviction on your record.
