simple assult-intent threat to do violence (domestic)

Our son has been trying to reconcile with his wife. Last night he drove over the gate to their residance. They have been seperated for one year and he has lived with us. (his parents) He never has been arrested or ever hit or showed any act of violence toward his wife. She had him picked up and he was charged with simple assult-intent threat to do violence (domestic)My question is how serious is this allegations and should we contact an criminal lawyer. He is being arrigned Wed March 22 at 9 a.m.

Yes he needs a lawywer. The charges sound like misdemeanors, but I cant be sure. They carry up to 1 yr jail. Please call me I handle these cases all the time.Valerie
