Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I am a single father that lives with my girlfriend and her 13 year old son. I co-parent my 6 year old daughter with my ex-wife jointly. We live in the same town and share her with no disruptions. My girlfriends son was recently accused of sexually misconduct by my ex-wife and she filed a restraining order on the boy and my girlfriend. We believe this to be false and absolutely innocent. I really need to know how to go about this because its effecting everyone and our relationship. Is there any penalty for making false statements and effecting the mental stability of both children involved. What can I do?
