Re: Sister-in-Law was arrested on several counts

It is really hard to tell without a lot more info, i.e. prior record, quality of the evidence. I strongly encourage you to obtain counsel BEFORE attempting to post bond. A lawyer can usually get the bond lowered if you can convince the defendant to be patient.

Re: Sister-in-Law was arrested on several counts

It all depends on several variables:

1) Prior criminal history

2) where in Florida did she commit these alleged crimes

3) Believe it or not she does not score* state prison, but at 30 years state prison.

* What I mean by not scoring state prison is that even though she faces at least 30 years in state prison, the offense level of the alleged crimes do not score high enough to have a minimum of state prison. Therefore, she can get anywhere from probation to over 30 years state prison. Feel free to contact my office for a free consultation.
