Sold merchandise at auction cant deliver
I need some feedback. I sold some merchandise worth 2050.00 on an auction site.My house was broken into while I was away for the holiday and everything I had for sale was stolen. I have no insurance so I didnt file a report with the police.I felt it was useless because of my lack of insurance. The person who I owe a refund has freaked out.I have been trying to sell some high priced items to pay this guy back.I have no mal intentions. I was thinking of sending him 100 to 200 to at least show good faith. He want the whole thing but I am one step from being evicted and I had over 5000 stolen from me. He says I committed fraud .I didnt handle it right and mislead him about the repayment and what actually happened thinking he would feel sorry for me. Is a good faith gestor OK??
can I be arrested for fraud or robbery.I have evey intention of repaying him 100%. He will not work out any payment schedule He is not interested. I think he will be contacting the FBI etc shortly?? Help

He does not have to accept payments, You need to get him all his money back asap.
Re: Sold merchandise at auction cant deliver
you are in quite the predicament. your best bet is to contact the auction site and explain the problem. the real question is why you can't just refund the money. they will ask you why you waited to send the item upon payment. the auction site will usually mediate these types of matters. if you need legal help feel free to contact my miami office and schedule a free consultation. all my best, Joseph Vredevelt
