My son was arrested for Felony Worthless check in palm beach county.

My son wrote a check for his dentist for $500 and it bounced. The day before his dentist appointment. He had $1,358 in his checking account. He wanted to transfer $750 from his saving to his checking. But, however he got the two accounts mixed up and transferred $750 from his checking to his saving only leaving $608 in his checking account. The next morning he went to the bank to withdraw money to pay his credit card with TD bank. He found out he made a mistake when the teller told him. He withdrew all $608 to pay down his TD bank credit card. He went to the dentist and wrote a check for $500 for one of two payments for a dental crown and told the dentist office he needed to transfer money from his saving to his checking. But, that night he was tired and forgot to transfer the money. 5 days later the dentist office called told him, the check bounced and my son offered to go there that day and pay in cash. But, the office told him just bring the money next week at his next appointment when the dentist attaches the final crown to my sons tooth. He payed the $500 he owed them for the bounced check and the other $500 for the final crown which altogether added up for $1,000 the next week as he was told to do. My son has been seeing this dentist for over two years and has payed him thousands of dollars for dental work and still sees him and pays for services. He got a letter from the state attorney office months later asking for restitution. My son went the dentist office and they said it was a mistake and would contact the state attorney office to tell them to drop it. But, my son was later arrested. What is the chance of getting this charge dropped.
