Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My son was charged with possession of Marijuana under 20 grams and possession of a narcotic tool (pipe) a few years ago. He recently inquired about joining the AF but they said it disqualifies him from joining. Is there anyway to have his record cleared so he can join the AF? He paid $150. fine and attended a drug class as his punishment.

You can apply to have your charge sealed (providing you are eligible to get it sealed). However, the Air Force would still know about it and they have the right to refuse his entry even if it is sealed. He should talk to the recruiter to see what they require and if they require it to be sealed, you should call an attorney to do that.
