Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My son does not have a D.License, however he was driving his friends car and got in a wreck. The friends parents are asking me to pay for the whole car, doesn't his insurance cover some of this. Shouldn't my son only be responsible for the deductible. Did I mention my son is 17yrs old?

This isn't really a criminal law question. However, if you lend a car to anybody, whether it be a relative or friend, the owner of the vehicle is responsible if the driver gets into an accident. That driver is only responsible for his portion of his own negligence. In other words, if your son is parked and someone hits him, then the other driver is responsible. On the other hand, fault could be apportioned between the drivers. Your son may have to pay if their insurance or your insurance does not cover part of it. Call a personal injury attorney in your area and see if they can help you.
