Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Son being held for over 6 months
My son was arrested in November of 2007. He has not spoken to a public defender, he has not gone to court. How long can they hold him without sentencing him?

This is too long for him to sit without speaking to his PD. You should write/call the Public Defender. It is an elected position just like the State Attorney.
Your other alternative is to try to hire a private attorney. In which county is he in jail?
