Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My son is an inmate in a Florida state prison on criminal charges. He is in protective custody because his life has been threatened. I would like to know if he needs a lawyer? He commented that he may need one to help him through the process? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

He needs to contact security at the prison and let them know about the threats. There's nothing a lawyer can do other than pay them to write what he already knows. My understanding is that it's fairly simple. Fill out a form, submit it to the warden, they do whatever action they feel is necessary.
