Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My son has been issued a citation in violation of section 562.111 in Panama City.
He is from MI. In researching the law, I felt a little relief in reading about the Deferred Prosecution Alternative. I am not sure if I need a MI attorney or a FLA attorney or what happens next. It is his first offense.

Your son needs a local Florida attorney to handle the case. Whether your son will be offered deferred prosecution or pretrial diversion is not yet known and certainly not guaranteed. Do him a favor and get him a Florida attorney from the Panama City area.
