Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My son is currently in jail. We hired a lawyer but he is trying to negotiate with the state attorney to accept the plea for a simple assault which did not happen. He was arrested two weeks ago for three charges and his girlfriend wrote a letter dropped the charges. what should i do to completely drop the case and avoid him accepting a simple assault?

No attorney can comment on another attorney's advice. Therefore, Your son should trust his attorney at this point. If your son (not you) decides that he is not happy with his attorney, then he can look into hiring new counsel.
