Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Our son pled to five counts of dealing in stolen property and one count of burglary - he was sentenced to six years. He has a court date coming up for sentence reconsideration. One of the 'victims' is an attorney known to the ADA and the judge - we feel he was given a long sentence because of this. Any chance of getting this reduced?

You could file a motion for reconsideration. However, I'm not sure if the reason you gave is enough for the judge to "reconsider." Contact an attorney to see if it is feasible.
