Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My son just Violated probation for failing a drug test.He was originally sentenced to 3 years prison 2 years probation..What kind of time can he get for this technical violation he had only served 3 monthes of the probation so far..

Unless there was a suspended sentence originally imposed, he can be resentenced to the maximum sentence that was applicable to his original charge. For example, if he was originally charged with a third degree felony, he could get up to five years jail for the VOP.
