Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Got a speeding ticket (20+ mph over) in Arkansas in 2011 while passing thru on a move from Missouri to another state. Thought my ex-wife paid it. However, i just did a background check to work construction on a school jobsite and was denied because I am 'wanted' ( have a warrant in Arkansas for failure to pay this speeding ticket). I called Arkansas and they said that i have to turn myself in rather than just pay the 600$ plus in fines. I do not live within a 1000 miles of Arkansas anymore. My question is.... When does this warrant expire.. Or does a warrant expire? It is not an extradition warrant, it is not felony. It WAS a speeding ticket. Thank you!
