In the state of Florida: What advice can you give for a person who is charged with a felony, which has NOT waived his right to a speedy trial and has been held past the 175 day time period.

You need to speak to the person's lawyer. It may be that the attorney waived his speedy trial rights which the rules allow. However, it should be an issue they would discuss and he needs to do so now, especially if he has been in custody this long.
