Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I am in the state of florida. a friend of mines brother went to jail for robbing a bank. the police went to the school of my friends son who is a minor and asked them questions about his uncle without the consent or knowledge of my friend. is that allowed by the school to let a minor be recorded and interviewed without parental consent? is it right for the police to have gone there and interviewed and taped my friends minor child without parental permission or knowledge??

Yes that is legal. Your friend's son was not being charged with anything so there is no Fifth Amendment privilege. He was a witness and just like any witness the cops can ask them whatever they want. Certainly it is preferable to have parents present but it is not required.
