Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
In the state of Florida, is it legal for an employer to deny me a job because I have a dismissed case on my record from years ago? By law, I have a clean criminal background. However, when one company ran a background check on me, the case that was legally dismissed showed on the background and they are trying to deny me a job because of it (despite the fact that the background showed that the case has been dismissed). Can a legally dismissed case be held against me for employment purposes?

You can be let go for any reason, regardless of your record.
