Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

in the state of Florida do they ever offer a plea to go into drug rehab and military service to avoid prison time. My son is 20 years old and is facing 16 counts of burglary.

I have never heard of it except back when Vietnam was going on. It's possible, but I don't know how likely. The State Attorney (prosecutor), the judge, and Uncle Sam would have to accept. I don't know if the military would accept someone that needs drug rehab and with 16 counts of burglary. Maybe after rehab, the military might consider it. But if he has mental disorders, I doubt they would consider him for service. He should definitely try drug rehab--in house, not his house or your house, I mean somewhere where he has to stay 24 hours. It would make a good impression, but more importantly it is what he needs more than the impression it makes. Mr. Misdemeanor. "In your corner."
