Probation on a sexual battery would be Sex Offender Probation. It is a lot like regular probation but with additional conditions. The person on probation must register as a sex offender (even if they're not on probation!), submit to a psychosexual evaluation, and comply with any other conditions. The probation officer meets the person for their initial visit and reviews all of the specific conditions.
The conditions of probation can vary from case to case and often depend on the specific facts of the case. Again, a person on probation can and should speak with their probation officer to go over how it works.
