Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

In the state of Florida.....can a person, who has served a year or longer in state prison for non violent drug and probation charges, reside/live in a home where there are firearms present? Said firearms being owned by a law abiding, non criminal citizen legally elligible to own firearms in Florida.

Yes, under certain conditions. The felon must not have possession of the firearms or access the firearms. That means, the owner must keep the firearms in a place where the felon cannot access them-a gun safe or securely locked area to which the felon has no access. Access and possession are the key elements.
