what happens when the state keeps asking for motion to compel 3 times about Discovery and the lawyer still hasnt done anything what will happen to the cleint

The court will eventually decide if there has been a discovery violation and will take appropriate action. The actual outcome will vary depending on circumstances but the worst case would probably be that the evidence is excluded. It is impossible to be certain without knowing more detail. Generally the court will not punish the client for an attorney's error.
