Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

statue of limitations on drug charges

I was offered a contract job for the government, and durring a routine background check, I've found out that I have a warrant out for my arrest in FL, poss of marijuana. Now this happened when I was 18 or 19, I'm now 28 and have a family, and can't afford to take the time to be put back into the system. What is the statue of limitation on something like this. The warrant was issued in 1999. Thank you for your time.

Whether a motion to dismiss is granted based on SOL is one thing but the fact remains is that you have a warrant that needs to be lifted and your case needs to be put back on the docket to get the case ultimately disposed of. Nothing to difficult don't panic. Just call us and we can handle it.
