Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Is there a statue of limitations on a lewd and lascivious act on a minor (15 yrs.) that happened almost 33 years ago? The perpetrator was a police officer at the time...and is now the police chief. It was never reported but he did admit to the acts to his friends.

The statute of limitations is what it was 33 years ago. I would guess that it has expired at this point. Certainly for any civil action it definitely has.
