Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Stealing money from a corperation
a friend of mine worked at this huge company and a lot of money went missing then they blamed him for it without really having any grounds too. They put him under investigation and found others from the company stealing. Now the rumor has it that they will be taking him in to jail tomorrow with no prior notification and the police never interrogated him in the first place. is this leagal?

I strongly encourage your friend to hire a criminal attorney, now, not after he is arrested.

The company cannot place your friend in jail. Only the police can place anyone in jail. If your friend is under investigation, he should retain an attorney to protect his rights and interests at all times. He should not meet with or speak to the police or anyone without his attorney present.
