Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
stolen purse
My sisters purse was taken from her front seat at a gas station while she was pumping gas(someone reached through the t-top and grabbed it)She did not notice it missing for 2 hours and 120 miles, Later that day there was a message on her answering machine that it was turned in to the police. Her cell phone, cash and 2 cards were missing and the police found a small pipe with marijuanna residue in it. She is a 52 year old professional and has no clue about the pipe. Can she still be held responsible with the purse out of her possesion for so long?

Re: stolen purse
They could charge her, but obviously that would be her defense

Re: stolen purse
doubtful that the state would ever file on the case. I would not worry about it.
