Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Does a subpoena protects me

Hello,

If i get served with a subpoena in Florida by the prosecution for a deposition, is it true that i get immunity and they can not come after me in the future? Additionally how does the statue of limitations for bad check writing work? What happens after it expires?

Please let me know, if anyone has any knowledge on this.

Thank you
