Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Can I sue my employer if I was arrested doing something he asked me to do?
Employer became addicted to prescription pills, asked me to pick them up for him.
I went to pick them up and was arrested, charged with trafficking. I wasn't an employee, but I was an independent contractor at a large financial services company

The fact that it's your employer has little bearing on the charge. Did you know that you were picking up pills for his addiction? If you were running an errand for what you thought was a legal prescription, then you had no intent. That all said, it will be up to the state on whether to charge you and getting yourself a good attorney to fight it early is the best way to handle this.
