Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Theft of Service
A person purchases a ticket, at a multi-screen movie theater, for a specific movie. After the movie for which the ticket is purchased ends, the patron enters a different theater within the same complex watches a different movie, but does not buy a ticket.
Is this situation described or referred to in Florida statute, or in any other jurisdiction? And is this, in fact, criminal activity?
Thank you for your response.

Re: Theft of Service
This one is easy: Yes, that would constitute a misdemeanor criminal offense, chargable as you described, or as petit theft.
