Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
threatening bodily harm
My sister ex-best friend left her a message saying that if she ever caused problems in her family again she was going to ''hunt her down and kick her a**'' besides going to report it to the police does she have any other legal rights besides just filing a report?

She can go to the courthouse and swear out a complaint for injunction against violence. She will have to tell the court what was said. It would help to bring the tape with her. A temporary injunction will probably be granted with a follow-up hearing in 10 - 15 days for a permanent injunctions.
