With an absolutely clean criminal record a first time offender will most likely be eligible for pre-trial intervention, which will require the payment of restitution to the victim, classes (theft), community service hours, possible stay-away-order, and probation. The advantage of this is that once the probation and the conditions are complete, the case will be dismissed and the individual will not have a felony on their record. However, this is not always a given in every case. It depends on the facts of the case. Best of luck.

Among other factors the location of the offense will play some role in the sentence.

If the case you are speaking of is anywhere in South Florida feel free to give me a ring and we can discuss further.
