Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
time limit to report incident
My ex boyfriend showed up drunk (uninvited) I allowed him to come in but later asked him to leave when he started acting beligerant. He would not leave and in the process of arguing broke my cell phone (the only phone i have). I finally got him out of the house and threatened to call the police so he promised to get a new phone and left the premises.
It has been a week and now he says it is not his responsibility and he will not buy a new phone. Do I still have an option of filing a report and possibly getting the money for a new phone?
