Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
First Time Offender Grand Theft in Florida
I was arrest for grand theft (Over $300 less than $20,000). Will I go to jail over this? I was arrested for $727, but now my lawyer says the discovery has more allegations! I used a former emloyers equipment to make money for myself. I didn't think it was a felony! I've never even had so much as a speeding ticket.

You will likely not go to jail for it. You will likely get probation and perhaps restitution. If not convicted (adjudicated guilty) you will qualify to have the record sealed once you are off probation. Make sure you at least get a withhold of adjudication if you take a plea and do not violate your probation!!
Give me a call when you are ready to have it sealed. Don't wait once u are off probation.
