first time offender

is a life sentence fair for fist time offenders? and why did'nt the state come with a plea bargin we continuiously ask our lawyer for a deal.

If you first offense is severe like murder,large drug sales,etc the statutes provide this kind of penalty.What did your lawyer say was the reason for not obtaining a plea proposal?If you want any additional help e-mail me all the facts and a time and phone number to call you.

In Florida sentences are not based on the first offense or second offense, they are determined by a point system. If the crime is serious enough, a first timer can score life in prison. The State does not have to offer a deal if they dont want to. Your lawyer has to convey any offers that are extended. Pls call me if I can be of help with an appeal.
