this is my first time on this situation, what i need to do?

im in a prostitution situation case i was arrested for offer money to a undercover cop and they charge me lewd act too wrigt now im not woring and i have to go to court on march19. question #1: can i ask that day for a public(city)lawyer?and question #2 what happens if i said im guilty whats is goin to happen tome? i hope you can help me im very worry about all this. thanks for you help

You can always ask for the court to appoint the public defender however an attorney is only required to be provided if the State is seeking jail time for your offense. I do not know what your prior record is but if this is a first offense you will probably get a minimal sentence if found guilty. It is possible that you may have an adjudication of guilt withheld.

Although you are on a limited budget, I would suggest that you call the Florida Bar and ask for a referral to an attorney from their low cost panel. A consultation should only cost a small amount. You can review all of the facts with that attorney who will then be able to suggest what to do at the trial.
