Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Tired of running
I had a case and the judication was withheld. I was put on probation and ordered to make restitution. I always reported to my probation officer on time and on his visits to my home. Because of the arrest and being on probation I lost my job and was not able to get a job paying anywhere near what i had been making. With a Masters degree I ended up working as a waiter. I was not able to pay back all the funds within the year of probation. I was only able to pay about 20%. Because i could not pay it all back my probation officer said he understood my not being able to get a position in my previous field but had no other choice but to inform the judge that I had not met my probation obligation. A warrant was issued for my arrest and I fled to another part of the state to avoid prosecution. I am now in a position to make full restitution. Is it possible to come out of this with no jail time for someone who had no prior criminal record before this or is the fact that I fled going to definitely get me jail time?

It depends on the exact factual circumstances of your case.Where did this take place, what was the crime, how was your case viewed by the judge, etc.I you want to discuss this in detail which I would recommend you call me at my office or send me a e-mail how I can reach you by phone.
