Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Tricky question: Expungement or sealing of record
Recently checked my criminal history in FL--the record indicates petit theft with adjudication withheld in 1993. After attempting to start the expungement/sealing of records process, I was told that I am ineligible because the original charge had converted to a conviction. The reason they gave was that I violated probation during that time. Is there anything I can do? Do I have any recourse in this situation? HELP!

maybe. What county was it? I was a prosecutor for 17 years and before I left actually would review these for approval. Call my office and I'll quote you a fee to look into for you.
