Yes, so long as you have no convictions on your record you can seal or expunge one crime from your record. Some crimes cannot be expunged; robbery, sexual crimes, battery on a law enforcement officer, and a few others. You can apply for this yourself or you can hire an attorney to process it which wiould be easier, plus you won't have to go to court. Under certain circumstances, yes you can seal a crime from your record. Then, after a number of years with no new law violations, you can expunge it from your record. However, as I said, there are a number of restrictions on this procedure. Certain crimes cannot be removed, such as sexual offenses, certain violent crimes, and an assortment of others. Also, you must not have been adjudicated, rather it must have been a withhold. Finally, you can only do the procedure once, for one criminal charge. You can do this process yourself. You first have to get the appropriate FDLE paperwork, fill it our and submit it with a set of fingerprints. You then mail it to FDLE who issues a certificate of eligibility (indicating that you are legally entitled to sealing). That certificate, along with a motion, is then filed with the Court. If granted, the Clerk will seal your record.
