What type of Offense is This
Is an attempt to run someone over with a car a crime? How servious is it?

It is very serious. It is a felony and is probably attempted murder. It is will most likely be aggravated assault also. You need to hire a criminal defense attorney immediately.

It's aggravated assault, which, under most circumstances, is a third degree (five year maximum) felony.
