Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
From what I understand it's not illegal for my neighbor to mount a video surveillance camera on his property and aim it at mine (I live in St. Petersburg, Florida....... My question is; Can I in turn aim a laser pointer into his cameras lense?
I put this under criminal law for lack of knowledge on my part.

I'm not sure I know the answer to your question but accordiing to Fla. Stat. 784.062 which talks about the misuse of a laser pointing device, it does not appear criminal merely for pointing the laser in this fashion. That said, I certainly wouldn't tempt fate by doing such a thing. It is possible, that it could affect his camera equipment which would make your actions CRIMINAL because that would be considered criminal mischief. Depending on the value of the camera, it could be a misdemeanor or even a felony. Best advice is don't do it.
