Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Unknown pending charges
I filled out a form to visit my girlfriends' son at a state prision and was denied visitation because of pending charges.
I have no idea of what they are talking about.
How do I find out what the charges are without going to the local court house to inquire?

Re: Unknown pending charges
Are they saying "you" have pending charges? If so, you can find out what those charges are by 1) calling the Clerk of Court and asking if there is a file with your name listed as the defendant, 2) call the State Attorney's Office and ask the same thing, 3) Call the warrants division of the local Sheriff's Office and see if there is an outstanding warrant for your arrest.
